VIA 73 arrives from Toronto.

After getting an Approach Signal from CN at George, they shoved back to the Jefferson Wye to turn the train around for the run back to Toronto as VIA 78.

The Essex Terminal switches autoracks around near the east end of their trackage.

CP 235 sits on the Windsor Sub just outside of town waiting for a crew with intermodal for Oak Yard in Detroit.

Nice pics and report CRD. Looks like a few CN GP9r's are still around but probably not much longer.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

The slugs that were usually paired with the GP-9s seem to be gone. CN has been buying GP-38s from BNSF for local use around Ontario.

Neat to see ETL's SW14 painted in that retro scheme. Guess that's the new look for them?

End cab switchers, round roofed GP9s, and Budd built coach cars from the 1940s and 50s - it’s still a bit of a living history museum just across the river in Windsor! Thanks for sharing this photo set.

Why is there a big CN logo on the embankment in Toronto?
