Hot 90 mins on the Michigan line

Unread post by Ypsi »

Today was a surprisingly busy evening on the AML. After work, I was surprised to hear B25 coming east on the radio. I grabbed them clearing the Huron river with their usual pair of SD40-2’s for power.

Very shortly after at 5:42 I heard 965 clearing on the radio so I gather a shot of the lite power heading west.

Finally I gathered a shot of 355 clearing 30 over the Huron at 6:55. 3 trains in about 90 mins is a far cry from the usual, and it seems like the summer of 2022 might be one of the best for Michigan line foamers in a while.

That’s awesome! I was actually passing through Chelsea earlier today and saw those two BNSF covered hoppers, including that rate cascade green one with the circle cross logo, and was going to post something about it, but didn’t get a chance to before I was back on the road! Nice catches!
