Yesterday was the first day for a full train set of Venture cars on Amtrak 350. I was able to catch them in Ann Arbor as they made their first trip on the Michigan line on a revenue train

I have heard that these cars go into emergency if you open any of the doors at speeds above like 5 mph. How is that going to work for spotting? They don't appear to have Dutch doors like the older Amtrak cars.

On the other hand, you had that Amtrak employee fall out the door to her death.

Probably what everybody else does, and post markers for train spotting.

First day they missed the high level at ARB due to signs not matching and likely the lack of being able to really see the spot
