NS 121 comes down from Sterling with their engine long hood forward.

Conrail NY-6 switches PVS on the Terminal East, then runs around and returns to North Yard. The Boxcars were likely from Exel on the Beltline.

At Milwaukee Jct, the NS 121 returns to their train at North Yard after wyeing their engine at Scotten.

Amtrak 353 comes down from Pontiac.

CN 515 was following behind Amtrak. After waiting for a signal from Conrail to proceed onto the Sugarhouse Wye, they had to wait again for a signal at Aubin, blocking traffic on Clay St.

The Detroit Connecting RR returns to their trackage with 1 Gondola for Ferrous and 1 Tank for Vesco Oil.

CN 251 comes north on the Shoreline Sub at Grand Blvd.

After lunch, the DCON ran around their inbound cars from CN and placed the empty gondola at Ferrous, then shoved the tank to Vesco Oil.

As always thank you for an excellent chase especially of DCON.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

Very nice pictures, I always like seeing the trains working in Detroit :) I had started my electronics training at RETS that was located at East Grand Blvd & Mt Elliot back in 1976. Miss the days of the Bob-Lo boats & when Vernors was still made in Detroit & had attended the grand opening day for Ren-Cen. Back then, I was living in St. Clair Shores between 9 & 10 Mile on the Jefferson end.

It seems the fluid recycling plant has been slow. That's where most of the tank cars used to go but lately hardly anything.

Nice documentation. Interesting to see that ADBF 836 still retains its Super Company spark arrestor. I remember when GTW bought a semi load of those for all of their SW's in the late 60's/early 70's.
