Don I think it is a 88" nose vs the 82" or what ever the smaller one was. Not a snoot nose, those were 112" IIRC.

3003 is a Snoot nose, 110" or something like that. 3001 and 3002 have 88" noses IIRC. But 3003 has a longer nose than both of them, just not sure how long. There were different varieties of snoots, 118", 123(128?)", around 100".

Wow, I've never noticed 03 had a longer nose than 01 and 02. I've never heard of the term "snoot nose" either. You learn something new every day.

Not that it really matter's. But all CP snoot's had 101 inch noses. The earlier versions had the standard 81 inch nose for the time. CP kept they're cabs and toilet facilities in really good shape. Clean and warm in the winter. Unlike some CSX stuff were you could be setting out a bad order and looking through a giant rust hole at what is going on around you.
