Truth hurts. Maybe not as much as jumping on a bicycle with the seat missing, but it hurts.

Is there a locomotive that is more misidentified than the CN GP40-2W?

CN purchased 233 (numbers 9400-9632) GP40-2LW's between 1974-1975. The "L" refers to the light weight frame that was used. The frame was slightly higher than the regular version and accommodated a larger fuel tank.

CN received 35 GP40-2W’s (numbers 9633 to 9667) between March and May of 1976. CN acquired ten more GP40-2W’s from GO Transit (the only other buyer of this version) in 1991 and numbered them 9668-9677. These have standard frames and are not to be confused with the "L" version.

CSX's CW44AC's, which is the railroads' designation for the AC4400CW. Everyone (me too sometimes) calls them AC44's, but they're actually identified by the railroad as CW44AC's.

Hot take: Every railroad in the US is the worst railroad in the US.

Clayton Kershaw, Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander...dominant regular season pitchers...below average playoff pitchers.

Very true. Kershaw is having shoulder surgery, Scherzer did nothing for the Rangers and Verlander is just old now.
