The only reason it's in Michigan is to go from Windsor to Chicago. There are no official stops in between.

Maybe once Ford has built out the park or whatever it's doing behind the MC Depot, the train can stop there. CPKC owns the line as far as 24th St.

I suppose if they can stop a few miles apart in Cambridge and then Ayr on the 24th they could make one stop on each side of the river. The people on the US side might have to be patient while the train clears customs.

For those who may not be in the know, this train carries basically zero priority on the NS, so expect delays…that being said, if past runs are anything to go off, it normally heads west out of Oakwood anywhere between 10:30pm and midnight.

For those listening out for the train on a scanner, it’s running under the symbol CPKC 02H. They normally play “here comes santa claus” over the radio once they get onto the NS at the Rouge River bridge.

Admin - as long as you’re cool with it, let’s use this thread as a heads up thread for when it runs tomorrow (11/25)

Is 160.380 the frequency between the tunnel and Oakwood?

Leader 2246 has been having mechanical difficulties so 2317 has been leading the past few days. The hope is to have 2246 fixed up today but if not, the front of the train will be unlit.

161.070 for Conrail and 161.370 for CSX RN Dispatcher around Delray. NS Yardmaster is 160.440 at Oakwood Yd.

160.380 is the dispatcher channel west of Oakwood Junction.

It seems like every year this post has to be made because of rumors that pop up every year regarding it, but, per credible sources at NS and CP, the holiday train will be fully illuminated on its way west through the state.
