I heard from a friend that there was a Fire at Muskegon Sand Plant today 1/11/23 with a thew covered hoppers usually full of sand that where luckliy that where empty but still caught fire and burned until First Responders could put the fire out. that is the reason why Michigan Shore Railroad is not hauling as much Empty sand cars.
Even though their is no news articles yet I have learned from a Friend of mine that he heard about a Fire at Muskegon near Whitehall Mi and Twin Lake.
