Hello railfans,

I am doing a research project on railfanning for my College Senior assignment. I am asking for your cooperation when completing my survey which will consist of about 25 questions. I am hoping you are able to fill out the survey before my submission date of 12/14/22. The question I will be asking "How did you develop your hobby/interest over time, i.e railfanning?"

You can basically fire away your thoughts on railfanning, trains, etc.

Railfanning is under the category of a hobby hence the name of the survey.

Andy...I agree with JT's recent response! I looked at the 20 questions and decided NOT to answer any of them. Since you placed this on a Railfan chat site, your questions SHOULD pertain to why we're railfans whether you call it a hobby or interest. I think you should rethink the questions you want answered to be more specific on why we are interested in railroads. Therefore at this time I will leave you with my comments here and move on. I for one have many interests that really don't belong on this chat room. Sorry.

Andy: I hope you are not restricting the questionnaire to this site or to railfan sites in general. Doing that creates a sampling error. Unless you are trying to find what other interests are held by railfans, distribute this to other groups with which you associate.
