Indiana Northeastern Customer List (Wiki)

Unread post by AARR »

I am reading the Indiana Northeastern Customer List on Wiki and have questions that I would appreciate assistance with:
1. Does Klink Trucking in Ashley also receive covered hoppers? (fertilizer, salt, etc.)
2. What spur does Ashley Septic ship from?
3. Wiki says Stoy Farms ships covered hoppers but their website says they receive liquid fertilizer at their spur and nothing about shipping anything that would require covered hoppers. Please confirm what is shipped and what type of car(s) are used?
4. Carper Farm Supply is listed at Wiki as a feed mill that receives covered hoppers. Their website says they offer fertilizer and pesticide products and services and says nothing about feed products/services. Does anyone know what Carper does? Do they receive tank cars too?
5. What spur does Omya ship from? Is it inbound or outbound? What is shipped?
6. Please confirm if Edd's Supplies receives covered hoppers?
7. Please confirm if Union Pallet receives inbound lumber or ships outbound pallets?
8. I added covered hoppers to the Darling Ingredients column
9. I added tank cars to the Ceres Solutions column
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

I have a lot of questions myself about the Ashley customers, so I am also eager to hear more information.
I'll do an audit on the Ashely customers today. A lot of that info I received in 3+ years old now.

Darling to my knowledge only gets tank cars, never seen covered hoppers on that spur.

Update: I removed Ashley Septic from the list as I cannot find anything to prove this customer exists.

Darling was shipping several covered hoppers a week of bone meal at one time. I am curious if this movement has stopped.

You know, you could just create a fake facebook name (I have one myself that I use sometimes) and not enter any personal information in. Basically just be anonymous...and then join some train groups. That way you don't give anything up, you don't have to add any friends, and you get to see all the great content there that you are missing here. :D

+1 for joining the Indiana Northeastern FB group. Some of the people who run the railroad are active participants and could answer any/all questions you might have about their operations.

We'd never see AARR on here again - he'd be too busy looking going through the various historical and current railroad groups looking at the stuff that only gets posted to Facebook...great suggestion, JT!

And two more SD40-2’s last year.

Will they be retiring any engines?

No. They need these to pull more grain trains. NS has been leaving them without run thru power lately.

They crank out unit trains off of NS. Most go west although last year they did have some that were routed east on the Wabash line and eventually to Toledo.

Those two ex-NS SD40-2's are only being stored on the IN for IBCX. Not on the roster.
