PawPaw River Transload

Unread post by GAP »

Today was my first time seeing the PawPaw River Transload facilities east of Hartford. There were so many covered hoppers and tank cars in abundance I was really surprised and impressed. What all is happening there? Further east there were more covered hoppers and tank cars just sitting but there seemed to be only limited access to them. Are those cars in storage?

The cars to the east are staged and or in storage.

There was a nice article in Trains Magazine recently about WMI and IIRC they blend inedible oils (biofuels?) in the tank cars
