Warren CN Derailment

Unread post by Burb8145 »

There has been a derailment on the Mount Clemens Sub near Stephens Road involving 12 cars. No injuries, but this could take "multiple days" to clean up.

"Warren police and fire inspectors, including the haz-mat team, and crews from the Canadian National Railway were on the scene conducting an investigation and have determined a severely bowed section of the track caused the cars to derail."

wondering if the bowed section was caused by the derailment and was not the cause of it. Amazing how much tension is on those rails after an accident.

Was the train northbound? There are a lot of switches both trailing and facing in the mile to the south of the derailment point.
