Railroad Strike

Unread post by Burb8145 »

A railroad strike this weekend just became a bit more likely: https://www.clickondetroit.com/news/pol ... -deadline/

With all but one of the Class Is serving Michigan affected, there certainly will be effects if this strike indeed does happen. Amtrak has already canceled long-distance routes in advance, and I'm sure the Michigan services will also have major impacts, to the point of full suspension.

MDOT has pretty much stated (without actually saying it) that the Michigan services will be suspended if the strike happens. #354 will likey not run tomorrow, as Amtrak's goal is to not have any trains in transit when midnight rolls around.
