Re: King Milling Co. Expansion
Is any of King’s wheat locally grown? I know wheat is grown in Michigan but it’s definitely not as big of a crop in our state as corn or soybeans.
Side note: the De Zwaan windmill in Holland uses King Milling wheat to grind in their historic gristmill facility!

From their website:
https://kingflour.com/products/
"Our soft red and soft white flours are milled from Michigan-grown wheat and are ideal for cookies, pie crusts, crackers, biscuits, donuts and other pastries."
They source red winter wheat from the Central Plains states and hard red spring wheat from the Northern Plains states.

The wheat seems to come primarily from the UP, BNSF, CP, RCPE, Nebraska Northwestern, Iowa Interstate, and Iowa Northern.
