Ford is going to invest $700 Million to create 700 new jobs at Flat Rock, instead of building in Mexico. I have to imagine this will be good for CN.

I hope so. I'd love to see E280, or other autorack trains, more often on the Holly Sub. There haven't been a lot of rack trains on the Holly Sub, especially since GM stopped shipping by rail in Orion.

That sure would be great to see an increase in business for CN. I see on another article they are also going to be building a Hybrid model in Dearborn, so maybe a bit more business for NS/CN up there.

In addition to the loading track yard they have a small inbound yard for containers. Would like to see CN get this business too. I think currently containers are unloaded at CSX N. Baltimore yard in OH.

Flat Rock could see a bump. I do have a question, as I have noticed CN getting quite a few large auto rack shipments at Lang now since the coal traffic is gone. Are they running these up to Flat Rock or are they going further north on the GTW?

So will this mean more Auto Rack trains on the Shoreline sub in Wyandotte?

C-Max and Focus are still going to Hermosillo in Mexico

Don't get your hopes up for lots of increased rail traffic. All of the vehicles mentioned in the announcement are all very low volume programs that won't even begin production until mid-2020.

I was under the impression that the Bronco & Ranger were going to be built a Flat Rock ?

Bronco and Ranger will most likely be at Michigan Assembly Plant

This is happening thanks to the incoming new and great president DONALD J. TRUMP. More jobs here will help the Michigan, and National economy in many ways.

Go ahead and think a change in President lead this to happen.....

Fusion and Mustang sales both have dropped significantly so Flat Rock has more than enough capacity for whatever hybrid models that have in mind.

Don't forget CSX gets a ton of the Flat Rock production trucked to New Boston.

Fusion was moved to Hermosillo. Continental is now at Flat Rock. Volume wise, Continental is far less than the Fusion.
