Morning in Bay City

Unread post by Justin »

Well today stated off good in Bay City. Heard the dow train come back from Midland at ten till six. It woke me up. Then around 7:30 I decided to go for a bikeride to the southend and sure enough at around eight the SBS train came into town with LSRC 371. Then I rode back over to Dafoe Park where around 8:48 I saw an LSRC train come through with a bunch of stone cars, I think. I didn't catch the first loco but if I remember right the second one was 798. Not a bad morning, good exercise, two trains, and nice outside. A good way to start September.

I've had some very enjoyable early morning jogs close to railroad ROW's. My last one was the entire TSBY from the east side of Sans Yard to about 1 mile north on the Oakley Branch. It's not always easy staying within sight of the tracks from public property but it's always worth the effort.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

What is interesting about yesterday morning that I didn't mention before was that I had no way of telling when a train was coming, no scanner. So I guess I was lucky. And living in Bay City for awhile the trains are esay to figure out because they run on fairly fixed schedules.
