Metra service was disrupted last Friday the 13th when a semi trailer was struck by a BNSF train in La Grange.

I drove across that very crossing a couple weeks ago. It is one of those tricky ones, with a busy intersection not far across the other side and with lots of traffic. It is possible the way was clear when the truck began crossing and cars drove in from the intersection to block the way, but that is just a guess. When I drove there I had to wait for two opposing freight trains!
