Just so happens that I am the Chief Marketing Officer and DSLE. We have opened our Transload and are currently working on bringing in 4 new customers. We usually run between 1pm and midnight Monday - Friday and as needed by our customers.

Where is the transload located? Any hope of customers along the section of the former Erie?

It just so happens that I am the Sales and Marketing Executive for the RER. We have multiple new customers across a few commodities looking to move rail freight thru Rochester.

Yes. Our Plan is to create a transload distribution facility on what we call the "Erie Branch".

Last time I was through Rochester in January, it looked like the right of way was being cleared on the former Erie on the west end of the remaining track. Would anyone know if this was the railroad doing that?

I have some time off in the coming weeks and would like to get down there to photograph this new operation. When does it go on duty and what is the typical operating schedule?

Edit-sorry didn't see the later messages about the operating times. I assume that the crew starts in Rochester doing switching then heads north?

Update. I was in Rochester last Friday but the R&E was not running from noon to 2PM when I was there. The GP15 was parked outside the scrapyard on the main track and several empty gondolas were on the spur going to the scrapyard. It was evident that the R&E had done some work on the tracks into town and on the former Erie Railroad segment with tie replacements and more.

A long line of new looking, white tank cars were stored on the Erie Railroad segment from just past the old depot to US 31. No covered hoppers were spotted at Wilson Fertilizer and Grain or at Prairie Mills Products. Just a gondola was on the Prairie Mills spur.
