Mysterious E-Unit parked at Toledo Union Station
Apparently this is for a Tom Cruise movie of all things, just thought it was interesting.

Former Algoma Central 1755
It's a FP9A unit

Re: Mysterious E-Unit parked at Toledo Union Station
It's not an E unit. Matt Scruggs gets an F in F unit identification.

And he also he gets an F in movie project identification. This locomotive is being used for an upcoming Tom Hanks project called A Man Called Otto. It will be released Dec 25, 2022.
The FP9A is being rented/leased from the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad in West Virginia. It was previously used on the Gettysburg Railroad until 2020 and before that Algoma Central, VIA, and CN (1755 was originally built for CN in 1957).
The passenger equipment appears to be:
NRHX 142 "Franklin Inn" - Owned by National Railway Historical Society.
Ex-Amtrak Baggage Car - Might be owned by Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society? Either RPCX 3671 or RPCX 3679?
NRHX 148 "Collinsville Inn" - Owned by National Railway Historical Society.

Good pix GTW Dude!!!! Man I found out about this Wednesday 4-27! Cool that FP9A #1755 is still in Algoma Central® colors!!!! I myself (Robert Jackson) have actually seen AC FP9A #1755!!!! The below pictures show trains that had this engine! There are more pix, but not all are scanned! I will venture down here with "Siz" April to photograph it tomorrow, 5-1! Amtrak®'s 51st Anniversary!!!!! Wow, we all can actually "Apply" for the movie! This is for "Extras" with "pay of $170 for the first 12 hours and overtime after that!" Is that worth it? My friend "Mazon" thinks they should be paying more! Filming is Tuesday May 3rd and you have to allow 1-3 days in case of "Retakes!!!!" Here's the link to apply (from the above article): https://airtable.com/shrXeTmnpAl3XqwFj

We rode the “Tour of the Line” train February 20/21, 1999. We had two F-units, 1750 and 1755 (2nd loco in picture of course)!!!! Very nice trip!
Here’s a shot (Canon® 35mm S.L.R.) that I (RLJ II) took from the vestibule along Ogadaki Lake as we headed north, 2-20-1999:

It is on its way to my paper railroad, the Mt. Clemens & Selfridge. It was completely overhauled and is returning where it, along with ex-GTW 4930 and occasionally ex-GTW 1776 (ex-5808), will operate in various passenger trains between Mt. Clemens station and end of line in Selfridge Air National Guard. It will be painted in the old GTW green and gold Maple Leaf colors so get your picture of it in AC colors while you can.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

Headed back to the Potomac Eagle in West Virginia. Too bad they could not keep it for National Train Day Toledo this weekend. It sounds like it will once again be another year without equipment displays...Robertrains wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 7:14 pmYup, someone reported on Facebook® that it is gone from Toledo! And will continue that way from now on, unless the railroads and Amtrak somehow see it in their hearts to appease the railfan community...(don't hold your breath)wrote:Too bad they could not keep it for National Train Day Toledo this weekend. What needs to be understood is there is no more "free lunch" when it comes to getting that stuff. If those in charge of such events refuse to grasp that concept and continue pestering for equipment, then there is the possibility of "never again".
