NS’ Stanley yard

Unread post by David Collins »

Quick Question: Does anyone know if the NS Stanley Yard near Toledo is still used and, if so, what trains run in and out and what would possibly be the timing?

First, it is CSX.

H710 comes out of there to Woodville and Pemberville Mon-Fri. Not sure of start time. Y225 comes out on 2nd shift and works Jones Hamilton and Precision Strip on the Toledo Branch, Mon-Fri. Y 325 works 3rd shift and goes to Rossford and Perrysburg, Mon-Fri. Y111 runs first shift from Walbridge to Stanley and returns. Most of yard in process of being torn out.

CSX not NS. Thought you knew something about trains.

For what it's worth, the track on the hump was removed a while back. Anderson's rail car owns the old engine house and does freight car repairs there and there is a company (it may be part of J-Star's operations I'm not 100% sure) that unloads vehicle frames and line sequences them before loading on trucks for delivery. (I'd presume that the end customer for them is Toledo Jeep) They're located just to the north and east of the engine house.

J-Star/Jacobs Logistics leases the entire Fuel Pad area. Anderson's Railcar only has 2 tracks in the building. J-Star handles all the car movements in the facility with their critters, including an SW1. J-Star also owns the old T&OC main track south of Genoa Rd into Stony Ridge.
