Found the exact location of the weirdest railroad crossing gates, Kenton, OH.

Finally located the weirdest railroad crossing gate that had wire or cables wrapped around the wishbone crossing gates on the east side of US-68 and south side of the old Big Four RR, later New York Central, later Penn Central RR in Kenton, OH. Not in Wapakoneta, OH. The crossing in Kenton was abandoned and ripped up in 1977. The Kenton crossing gate was where I saw it while my parents, sister and I travelled south on US-68 on our way to visited the Great Smokey in Tennessee and North Carolina back in June, 1957 when I was eight years old. Any old historic pictures of that railroad crossing in Kenton.

You have any pictures of this crossing? There were 3 crossings on St rt 68 thru town. Northside of town was the PC (Big Four), middle of town was the PC (T&OC) and the Southside of town was the Erie/Erie Lackawanna.
