The CCET here in Cincinnati running on the Peavine stores hundreds of cars tankers being the favorite yet in recent months they are storing other cars as well. They have plenty of siding to store cars and it is a major revenue maker for them doing slow times. If this guy only has up to 3/4 of a mile for storage he isn't going to generate much revenue. I just don't get what he is going to do with the rail? He already has well over 15K invested now including all the time he and his son have in it. I mean if he is just doing it for fun and has time and funds that is one thing but surely can't make much of living on 3/4 mile track.

If he has the money to buy 3/4 of a mile of track and improve it then it’s probably not meant to let him retire somewhere.

New video, minutes ago.

Sounds like G&W showed up by request and inspected things.

Interesting video watched it last night. So it appears he is going to store cars here and the G&W is going to pick them up and deliver them. First he is going to do plenty of work on the rails as G&W made some suggestions and comments but it looks as he does have a plan and moving forward.

The one question I have watching his videos... if he was able to buy a grapple truck, and a mini hoe, why would he mess with a dewalt battery operated chainsaw?

Great question why not a gas operated chainsaw a powerful one at that? Takes seconds to get these small trees knocked down with a gasoline chainsaw. If he is going to buy all of this equipment for thousands of buys might as well spend a few more bucks and get a good chainsaw. Maybe he wants to protect the air quality in Ohio.

On his last video, it looks like the G&W paid him a visit to inspect the track. Mentioned some switch ties needing to be replaced, but not much else. Also looks like he bought a trackmobile. And hiring someone to come clean the brush.

No, he previously mentioned that he was looking into buying one. It's quite old, and looks like being repainted (primer on parts of it, and in a shop).

After he and his son get all the trees out of the way the next big project is replacing the ties which is going to be a real task. Then getting the rails to all line up. I will give it to the guy both of them are really trying to make this happen two guys who one a railroad track not a short rail company that has capital. One individual who in fact is trying to make a go of it.

Just saw the lastest on the East Terminal video on You Tube. Rather interesting as he had a map of all the railroads in Ohio and showed the one that he owns on the map. Check it out.

So watched the latest video from this guy looks like his son and him have a train door business as well. A door fell off the tracks on a box car and it was rather interesting how that got the dang thing back inside the boxcar so it wouldn't move on the way back to the plant. Rather impressive video.

Early in his videos he speaks about his previous job as train/car/locomotive repair and rerail.

Clearly this is a guy that’s heard enough facts and figures about car storage rates and sees an opportunity.

I agree this guy knows there is money in car storage and he wants to get his mile track ready for service. Another video is on YOU TUBE today 2/15. I wish him well both he and his son are really going at it full blast buy used equipment getting it running to put new ties in and get the rail up to spec..

Not yet. Still working on the track might be awhile. Maybe by summer he is looking to do some storage on the tracks but these tracks need some work according to the video's. Hope he does well giving it a good effort.
