Tonight around 8:00 PM High Point and Rome Intermodal Extra 219 North hit a flatbed truck in High Point derailing the lead unit and causing damage to the handrails and the engineers side of the locomotive. The train might not have derailed had the trailer it was pushing hit a trackside building. NS 8101 and HPR 709 were also on this train, but were undamaged.

Repairs on HPR 219 are complete and it will apparently be keeping its special Maersk Paint scheme as it was released from the shop and is back in road service with it.
