Where's the love? You could buy the whole town and turn it into a mega-foamer resort and make a killing!

With my steamers going thru, put in a railfan park.

There's already a park for the 80+ trains a day.

Crossroads Park: http://cg-tower.com/deshler/ Very nice place... With your steamers going through there, it'll just amplify the amount of railfans/foamers coming there!

Especially with a "Heritage" consist we run for the Capitol Limited. A B&O P-7 4-6-2 and all Pullman cars. A lot of our smaller power would go thru though, maybe the A-classes, and maybe the Challengers, but mostly smaller power.

Also, in terms of interchange, i have access to Baltimore Harbor. that's where pretty much all trains either originate or terminate. There are coal docks and the recently built M&N RoadRailer terminal.

If its agreed that I can expand to Chicago, Would anyone be willing to be temporary Division Dispatch. This postion would need to be held for atleast 3 weeks and there would not be alot of traffic at first. The Capitol Limited would be the first train.

No one has objected, so I say if no one has by midnight it's fine to take over the B&O.

Marquette can provide dispatching thru the end of March from our extra office in Grand Rapids. We recently switched to our new building, and have the old one still. Planning on doing something with it this summer, but it's still wired for dispatch. Send the boards up in a boxcar and we'd be happy to fill in.

Ok, so i can aquire the line from Pittsburg to Chicago then? It will be on train PChF-1. However, we have to assign locomotives and crews to the "new" division. That should take at least a week or so.

We have an onbjection. Via the PM system. Wishes to remain anonymous. The question is would you be willing to just take trackage rights? I think joint ownership would work best.

That's fine, with me. A joint operation would be fine.

Anytime you want to commence operation. Generally, of course, there is time between announcement and commencement.

OK. Well we were going tho have Train #1 The Capitol Limited, but our long distance cars aren't ready to go. I think the first will be an inspection train, I-1. I-1 is led by my (as president) personally owned K4s'. 1310 and 1355. Both are in PRR paint and lettering. They will pull the M&N OCS as an inspection of the line from Pittsburg to Chicago. It will also serve as a survey run for future yards or terminals. Especially in the Chicago area for a Roadrailer terminal.

I-1 is in Pittsburg, my K4s' are being replenished. Nows the chance to see PRR steam at its finest. Let me know when they can go to Chicago Union.

You can probably update on your RR's thread now....All Chicago Railroads are okay into Union as long as they have the required paperwork (schedule, basically). You'll probably need to be pushed in, steamers not allowed because they'd set the place on fire!

Can we assign our own diesel? We can use one of our engines on the reserve roster, or put a new CE-8 (an E8 rebuild, E8 frame, GP cab, GP9 hoods welded together). Its rated for 3000hp but could be a good candidate.

As long as the steamer isn't pouring smoke under the buildings!

We tried to apply to run 1225 down there this spring and found ourselves with that problem.

The fireman i assigned to my K4s are the best on the M&N, the engines put out very little smoke since the firemen have fire burning properly. So, smoke probably wont be an issue.

If P42s cause fires, then steamers will too.

No joke. There have been a couple of fires set by P42s and the other diesels in the recent past down there.
