They want that GEVO leading given its a road train. I would guess they dropped it and the rest of the train in Fowlerville and will be back for it.

Likely the engine has some sort of mechanical issue that prevents it from being a lead unit. Possibly missed by the inbound crew, or maybe something happened while it was sitting.

^ This. They wouldn’t run light all the way to Plymouth and back just to “put a Gevo in the lead since it’s a road train”. That’s not a thing.

Well I appreciate the insight, I was wrong about the rest of it being at Fowlerville as well, nothing to be seen there. B222 lite lower approaching the WE at 00:38.

2:43 - B222-26 with a 3 man crew departing Webberville. CSX 3214 + 8839 and 85 cars. The SD40-2 is just along for the ride sitting in idle.

2:54 - Clear Fowlerville.

3:16 - Clear Ann Pere.

3:28 - Clear Brighton.

Headlight/ditch light failure was the culprit. Worked when the inbound crew spun it in Plymouth so wasn't a known issue.
