Also overnight we had CN 8016 lead an L50762 out of Moterm that went west at Durand and arrived in Battle Creek around 03:00 AM.

20:53 - NB L507 with CN 2764 (ex-CitiRail with PTC) leading departed Pontiac for Flint

Well maybe we will start getting these ex Citi Rail ES44ACs leading trains in the U.S. more often! COOL!!!! Also, hopefully they won't all be painted in CN paint!!!! We know there are way too many "Widecabs!" Same with all Class One railroads! Yet we know these are the replacements for the Dash 8/Cowls!!!!

W968 is between Scotland and CP Max with GTW 5934 and a CCP Jordan Spreader. MOW is using it to dig out ditches on the South Bend and soon, Flint and Holly Subdivisions.

Did this "Ditch Digger Train" disappear? I thought it was coming to MI! I know it is slow, but didn't realize this slow!!!!! LansingRailfan, do you (or anyone here) know where this train is working now (Aug. 26)? Must be coming very slow! When is it expected in Royal Oak or Port Huron? There’s an EB on the single track waiting to get lined into Flint Yard but traffic is backed up.

09:35 - EB Q122 with CN 2226/CN 3923 holding at Imlay for WB Z149

09:37 - EB A492 with CN 3128/CN 2968 thru Charlotte

09:53 - WB M39731-25 with CN 8952 (GTW HU)/CN 5672 and double mid-DPUs CN 8862/CN 8892 clear Durand Union Station. They will meet in Shaftsburg with EB A492 and the crews will swap trains.

Last night around 12:35 A.M. (8/26/2023) I caught an Eastbound with 8904 and 2722 in Lapeer. It had intermodals at the front and atuoracks at the back. Does anyone know if it was an extra Q122 or Z148? It seemed way to early to be a regular run.

Saw this EB past the Durand camera a little earlier. I can't confirm but I'd guess it was a Z148 since no other EB intermodal/rack train came by Durand on Saturday until the Q122 mentioned in other posts.

18:38 - E251 stopped at Okemos Rd. with "brake lines hanging from the train." Have been sitting for an hour. 8850 and 5752 for power. Maintenance crew showed up around 18:25.
