CN Train Location Updates - August 2023

Around 5 pm 116 went past MP 22.5. All autoracks toady.

At 6:30 pm 507 went flying by at 60 mph. Didn't see anything but racks on it either.

They always switch to a CN engine in Battle Creek, MI! This train will probably come through Port Huron at nighttime though!!!! It would be better with UP 3093 (SD70AH-T4) leading the way! OK, my friend Roger can capture this with my 35mm camera! I won't send him in the dark though! He has no flash! It would be best if the train parked for the night somewhere! Then proceed east in the morning! I have a feeling that won't happen!

I photographed southbound 383 with CN SD70M-2 #8805 and IC (CN ordered and painted) C44-9W #2718, 75 cars! It cleared 13 Mile Road, Roseville at 11:21 a.m. Then later around 1:00 p.m. (same place) I got train 515 with CN (ex EMD/Oakway) SD60 #5430 and I think 12 cars!!!!

As David reported in the Amtrak thread, Amtrak 351 is having trouble this morning. It just slowly rolled by MP 22.5 in reverse heading back to Pontiac delaying 353's departure.

Train 508 went by MP 22.5 last night around 8 pm and I did not see any containers on it (though I haven't been that good of a container observer lately for some reason).

Sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn't even run on Saturdays or if it does then on a different pattern (like just to Mount Clemens or East Yard). No 515 yet this morning.

LansingRailfan! OK, well this ex CITI Rail ES44AC is leading!!!! COOL!!!! Well, is CN starting to equip these units with P.T.C. equipment? I have never seen one lead!
I know they lead often in Canada which does not require P.T.C.

Alright cool! My friend (Roger) is headed to Michigan Road overpass in Port Huron now! There he will photograph this train for me!!!! Does anyone know how many WC switchers were sold to BUGX? Does CN still have some left working? Where is this engine headed?
