Great Lakes Central Train Location Updates June 2023

OSTN past zukey lake/Lakeland went south last night 22:06 and came back north early this morning 3:40. Looked out the window going south and looked like 3 locomotives, I could only make out 329. Both directions had decent sized trains

OSTN-3 382 southbound with a potash train from HESR 88-92 cars per the GLC fb page. Passed Zukey lake/Lakeland at 14:26. Was waiting for a northbound trip back but maybe they are going to wait until next week to pick up the locomotive at osmer. GLC escape was parked here and at osmer (maybe to shuttle back??).

Yes. Crew drove back home. Only needed one crew and one engine to take all of those empty cars back to Osmer.

OSTN-5 north 329,382,383 17:38 engines only, went south at 14:54 but I only herd the horns from work. Both at Zukey lake/Lakeland. Guessing they picked up 382 at osmer from Saturday.

If they pulled up ties from that siding they are probably using that gondola to take the em to McBain

That's not anywhere near the Williamsburg line though. Unless they just took that car on a field trip since they had to take lumber up there "hey, I never get to go for a long ride, why does center beam always get to go?!?!". Lol

It's not being stored for a future run. It's connected to an empty center beam ready for pickup at Amerhart.

And I've mentioned that about the run around track in Boardman yard being torn up in the Michigan updates section. Now there are several bundles of new ties towards the north end of that runaround track. So I'm not sure what's going on there....

Yesterday, GLC OSTN was SB at Ann Pere with 395/382/329/396 f/f/r/r at 19:00. They worked CSX on their way down before going to Osmer. They brought back well over 130 cars total including an 84 car empty grain train for HESR.

AARR has another grain train in Osmer for GLC. Well over 100 cars sitting in Osmer rn.
