CSXT L302 w.b with CSXT 4543, 3211 resr DPU, OS Tireman ave in Detroit at 1440 on March 26, 2023.
Anybody know if they have work for Lansing?
I believe the tonnage of the train prior to entering Lansing plays a factor on their work. We have seen on L302 skip work at Lansing once this year due to their entire train being heavy

Ethanol train B714-23 is rerouting over the Plymouth and GR subs off the B&O either late tonight or tomorrow. BNSF 7428 + 6816 as power. Is in Ohio now.
I just saw that B714-23/M567 on Virtual Fosteria Railcam with BNSF #7428 leading and BNSF #6816 Mid DPU with a mix manifest, autoracks at head end and all ethanol tankers on 2nd half to rear end of the train.

What's the story with the reroute? Any insight?

Combined M567/B714. The M567 segment is getting dropped off at Walbridge then it was just easier to send it north and west from there.

L303-26 @ 12:48 eastward reported by the DD mp CH126.3 Clarksville, Mi with 108 axles. CSX engines #452 + #347 & 24 cars (1 car more than what his job briefing had specified). He has work in Lansing.

L303-26 @ 13:24 eastward reported by the DD mp CH104.3 Mulliken, Mi with 108 axles.
Per railfan’s video in GR who captured L303 at Madison mp 149.7, I can confirm it was initially 23 cars. As for the axle count, L303 was pulling those 2 6-axle spine cars with the CleanHarbor items.

Pictured below are the spine cars off the GR Railfan’s video of L303.

For those on the eastern side of the state, where are these items heading to?
Those “items” (also known as “containers”) are for Wayne Disposal in Wayne where they are loaded with dirty dirt.

L302 went by me in Williamston earlier with only that CSXT 4xxx in the lead. There was not a dpu at the end. The end of the train was a small block of auto racks... odd?

Supposedly he has CSXT #4543 leading, did he have a 2nd engine as a trailing unit?

No. That's what caught my attention initially. It was a single unit train.

That crew is going to take a while dropping off the M567 segment. I revisited Virtual Railfan Fosteria Cảm and recounted the train and got:

BNSF #7428 + 74 cars + mid BNSF #6816 DPU + 138 cars trailing.

From time stamp 13:45 to 14:00, it took them 15 minutes to roll around the bend

I would assume the last 82 cars are the “B714” segment, accounting a buffer car in front and rear, leaving 80 marked TILX ethanol tankers.

Heading horns in Grandville. Assuming this is the CSX helper power going back west that brought the CPMY 7209 in on Friday.

02:31 - B74-23 at MP 84 got their EC1 from Ensel to Lake Odessa

02:33 - L304 by the detector at MP 104 with 28 axles. Sounds like they are going in the siding at Lake O for B74 to go by.

02:40 - I can hear B74 going through Lansing.
