Manistique - yes, this ran as an X491 from Flat Rock. They met Z148 at Vernon, L500 at Walton and we’re trailed by M301 from Durand to BC. Was a busy evening on the CN.

120ish cars. 65 or so autoracks on the head and then a mix of empty lumber, empty coil cars and boxcars and tanks on the rear.

00:14 - WB M301 w CN/CN f/f thru Durand on M1. They slowed down after hitting the diamond, likely slowing for a rolling meet west of Durand with an EB train.

20:05 - WB L542 w CN 3028/CN 3266 from Cory Yard with two tracks of cars. Autoracks bookending some asphalt tank cars from Watco/Rieth Riley and 6-7 loaded tank cars from the JAIL.

So would that be about 2 miles long or is my math wrong

I saw that X491 go by MP 22.5 last night around 9 pm. Two days in a row for this train, both around the same time.

What I haven't been seeing or hearing lately is 513 go by, that Pontiac Yard job that used to make a nightly run down the Holly to switch a couple industries at the south end of the subdivision. Maybe I am just missing it or sleeping soundly.

Another eastbound rack train with a solo UP engine was working at Lansing Snow Yard at 7:45

Edit -. UP 7204, through East Lansing at 8:09 on M1. I assume they are meeting Amtrak at Okemos
