Had another EB NS grain train thru New Buffalo at 14:04 eastern.

NS B05 ran an EB unit grain empty to Cargill Decatur, MI

NS 7149 (ITCS)/NS 3638/NS 8104 (Lehigh Valley HU)/NS 7150 (ITCS) was the power inbound. Presumably the NS 8104 will lead the train outbound from Burns Harbor.

NS B05 ran an EB unit grain empty to Cargill Decatur, MI

NS 7149 (ITCS)/NS 3638/NS 8104 (Lehigh Valley HU)/NS 7150 (ITCS) was the power inbound. Presumably the NS 8104 will lead the train outbound from Burns Harbor.

Should depart after WB P365 passes thru. The LV heritage unit will be forward facing behind NS 7149 and will lead the train once it is off of the Amtrak lines out of Burns Harbor.

352 has an engine on the tail tonight, it’s very much under power as it got up to speed out of Royal Oak about as fast as a Dodge Demon runs a quarter mile.

Amtrak ran a single Charger pulling one Venture coach on the Holly northbound, passing MP 22.2 (Opdyke Road) at 12:50 pm. Odd in itself as 350 isn't due for another hour, it had a green over red board at Opdyke on Main 1 instead of the usual red over green for routing it to the Depot siding in Pontiac. Must be going into Pontiac yard.

EB NS B25 departed Jackson at 11:12 AM and followed Amtrak 353. They then held at Chelsea for Amtrak 350.

B25 with NS 3329/NS 5272/NS 6137 and 18 cars departed Chelsea for Wayne at 11:53

There doesn't seem to be any additional coaches on Wolverine trains for Christmas week this year. They had one or two extras on for Thanksgiving week on some trains.

Amtrak 353 just went past MP 22.5 on time at 8:56 am with a mix of Ventures and older coaches plus a baggage car on the rear end for six cars total instead of the usual five.

Amtrak 355 is running 3 hours and 11 minutes late out of Pontiac tonight. There was a train/car collision at Opdyke Road in Bloomfield Hills, MP 22.2 involving CN 507 earlier this evening and it was just cleared for 355 to crawl past. It seems to have left Pontiac on time but was held north of the crossing until now.

Amtrak 354 arrived over two hours late at Pontiac last night, I presume because its counterpart 355 was delayed due to the freight train hitting the car at Opdyke Road in Bloomfield Hills last night.

And 351 was about fifteen minutes late leaving Pontiac this morning. Maybe because the turning of the locomotives at Pontiac last night was also delayed?

Amtrak 353 looks like it is being shoved down the Holly on its way out of Pontiac station this morning. Restricted speed, the horn blowing from the locomotive in the rear. Probably from 354 arriving so late at Pontiac last night and no time to turn it? Or no crew to turn it? Poor Amtrak. And on Christmas Day too. If true they will probably turn it at Milwaukee Junction for the rest of the trip.
