From the looks of it they had a large crew out doing tie replacement. I witnessed the crew loading ties into a high-rail pick up truck and noticed a mini excavator at the site.

GDLK spotted at 4:25pm, connecting to their line of freight for southbound at Hugart Yard. WAMX 4124 leads, WAMX 4125 trails. Assumed crew was on duty at 1600. Mix of covered hoppers, boxcars, few tankers and one coil car

Saw a secondary WAMX engine, assumed 4209 switches cars around

@ 6:00 PM, Grand Elk Engines #4124 and 4125 seen idle in the Hughart Yard with his ditch lights on but no load on him, assuming he’s getting his load on in a bit.

South thru Cutlerville @ 6:54, 4124 leads and 4125 trails, very strong horn.

GDLK in Plainwell a bit before 9:00 PM. Wind and atmosphere is just right that the horn is unusually loud at my place, almost a half mile from the tracks.

JAIL ran south last night to NS

Today, they are currently at Ensel at 11:16.

Coincidentally, there’s track work going on on track eight in Ensel which is one of the tracks NS leases to jail.

GDLK switch in Plainwell was set for the Otsego line when I came through about 6:00. When I got home I could hear the horn from the direction of the North Main crossing. Not sure if they were coming or going.
