They have been using WAMX 4189 and WAMX 4225 for their Elkhart run the last couple of weeks. I haven’t noticed them go by the Elkhart camera yet today, (I could have easily missed it while working), but I wonder what power they have doing the Elkhart run today.

I haven’t seen Grand Elk run on the Elkhart Cam yet. A lot of NS trains went by today and they were large mile long freight too

Z151 arrived Wyoming Yard with 4 SD40-2's and a decent sized train. Curious to see the the outbound train since the inbound seemed slightly overpowered.

From experience while railfanning Z151, they usually have 4 SD40-2s to avoid any mishaps on their trip back up north. Around a year ago, they went south with 2 SD40s with like 50 cars and back up north with 70 cars and had trouble.

Same time 1.5 years ago, MQT went south with 3 engines and 65 cars and back north with 144 cars and stalled at Comstock Park Curve/Hill

All depends on number of loads vs empties and how many slow orders there are. 2 SD40s can pull 100+ cars if they're all empty on that line. For a while they were keeping 4 units on a train that would normally only need 2-3 because they weren't able to make some of the hills due to the 10 mph slow orders.
"Remember, 4 mph is a couple, 5's a collision!"

It's 9:53 and they're in Plainwell. No visual, but plenty of horn.
