I know this is an egregiously late report, but GDLK must have run up from Kalamazoo to switch Otsego. At 6:07 PM I heard the horn and I believe I caught a glimpse of them at the N. Main crossing in Plainwell. I was headed west to the car doctor so I couldn't gather any more information.

Grand Elk south through Byron Center at 1:06pm. WAMX 4124, WAMX 4206, and 9 covered hoppers. If the tracks are still out of service down near Martin, I can only imagine the train is headed for Moline to switch Nutrien Ag Solutions, and maybe will come back north with the empties.

They came to Wayland with 10 cars. Spotted 2 at Endeavor Ag and left lite south. Came back after a couple hours with 2 loaded tank cars.
Connected onto the 8 empties and are now at Bay Valley. Working their way back north.

The Elk came up to the Plainwell-Otsego metro area, and switched Otsego. Looked like a crew change in Plainwell. Consist was all boxcars as usual. Hard to get a count since I was driving and there were trees, but I think 6 or 7 cars.

Grand Elk horn heard @ 10:50 in the distance at 54th St in Wyoming. Maybe WAMX #4209(?). Possibly heading southbound(?). Heard and saw them heading northbound from 54th St at 6:45pm today.

At 11:00pm, sounds like Grand Elk is heading north from 68th St, I can not confirm power or cars. I’m able to hear their horn from my house.

Close, but Grand Elk southbound through Byron Center at 11:07pm. WAMX 4124, WAMX 4125, and some cars in the dark. Pretty lengthly, still rolling by 4 minutes later. Could hear them whistling for 92nd St and cars still rolling by for about another minute.

Thank you, it is hard for me to pinpoint direction based off the wind direction of the horn. Funny how I didn’t hear them at 44th St when I got out of work🤔. I drove by 54th St around 10:40pm

A full 90 min after I posted. I figured they might be stopping to switch in Wayland as I spotted the train on the south side of Wayland from NB 131.

Z151 brought down a grain train along with their normal consist, clearing Fuller southbound around 2200 tonight. Not sure if this is the entire train or if there is another cut in Newaygo but expect a outbound loaded grain train on CSX soon.

They will most likely bring another set of empty CSX grain cars back up north. I saw 87-90 CSX grain cars in the Wyoming Yard earlier today.
