Engines back on rails and cleared. They derailed at a location where they'd recently corrected the road.

Just as a point of clarification concerning the Kalkaska incident. No power was involved in the incident, and the actual incident site has not seen any TLC work in quite some time. Though I suspect it will see some work now. Also, I cannot attest to what the scene looked like once re-rail personnel arrived, or did once they arrived in the morning.

There is a short video in the comments on the Kalkaska Department of Public Safety Facebook page. I am unable to post the link.

AANscalerunner, I went to the public safety facebook page and watched a 27 second video. What do we glean from this? You are watching static train pics, those locomotives aren't on the ground, just two of the cars are at that point in time. The event happened at 0020 hrs, and the cars in question were number 15 and 16 of a 20 car train. What your looking at if your looking at this video as proof positive of what happened, 7 hrs after the incident, is what was staged to help the re-rail personnel. Anything after, in time, to this video I have no knowledge of what the railroad personnel did or how they went about there tasks. But I can tell you with 100% certainty that the locomotives never touched the ground, and the location has not been, prior to the incident, touched for maintenence for quite some time.

Sorry, I shoulda figured out how to use the quote thing before I went and posted, but this was in rebuttal to Kinsley fan saying what happened with the power and the location. I will strive to do better going forward when I post.

I'm not trying to start anything here, just trying to put the facts out there as best I'm able to.
