SB E-train sitting in Novi on main track adjacent to siding. Lead engines BNSF 6066 and 5983.

Z151 northbound through Comstock Park with a orange and yellow sandwich of units. Pretty good sized train too. Lots of covered two bay hoppers up front with the usual stuff in the rear.

Grand Elk blowing at 44th. Not sure if they are north or southbound.

Grand Elk south through Byron Center at 12:28pm. WAMX 4124, WAXM 4209, WAMX 4125, and 39 cars. Approx 15 tank cars, 20ish covered hoppers, and a couple open top gondolas.

JT, on your mention about seeing them at 146th yesterday - we could hear them from at least that crossing. Wifey heard them first, then I headed out on the deck. Heard them from 104th, 100th, and 92nd before they went by. Decent southeast wind yesterday, and that 4002 loco may have helped to get the sound to travel.

Yeah, the wind was just right today to carry the sound to Grandville. And it was pretty loud and clear!

GDLK westbound passing the Elkhart cams and entering the yard via North Freight at a little after 09:00with 145 cars and 3 units: 4225 (smoking real good), 4206 and 4209.

JAIL came North into Lansing again today around 10:00. 1758/1751 not running "Southern-style" today, with 7 coil cars for CSX and 4 boxcars for CN.

Grans Elk North through Byron Center at 5:30pm. Looked like wamx 4189, wamx 3531 and approx 25 cars. I think 4124 and 4125 are still up in GR from Friday.

Back south approx 11:45pm. Looked like 4 locos and guessing 100-110 cars.
