G804-27 thru Howell at around 00:50 after stopping at Ann Pere for signal issues. 3109 + 726 leading 89 cars.

Laughable quotes include "we'll pass it along [to a signal maintainer]" as if every westbound doesn't have this issue. Happy New Year everyone!

Hey Tom, Did D801 ever make it into Saugatauk siding before the new crew was on duty, Or did they leave it on the main?

Hi, they left it on the Main 1/10th of a mile short of the east end of Saugatuck when the crew ran out of time. That train wouldn't have been able to fit inside Saugatuck anyways (5,500 feet long & the empty would have been over 7,000 feet).

Heard about that shortly after happened as the RN was telling the G804-27 grain empty for Webberville about it while running around their train at Williamston. The usual crew had the 89 car train spotted at Webberville by 04:30. 3109+792 on the head end.

Yes. Work is progressing on the cleanup. It is visible if you drive via Huron River drive to the Eureka Rd crossing in New Boston.

The one saving grace is it happened on a holiday, so it probably did not impact as many trains as it would have on any other day.

Any idea on detours or anything else for affected trains? That WAS a very busy artery at one time, but in recent months traffic hasn't seemed nearly as heavy along there.

The only 3 I could think of that would be affected today are I132, I150 and I151

D706-01 @ 13:37 heard talking to Rouge Tower getting themselves together. He is moving the 4 CSX engines that D705-31 had arrived with last night (#5452 + #5220 + #335 + #351) & had told Rouge they'll get back to him. Not sure if this means D706 will be running with all 4 of those engines - will know for sure when he performs his Job Briefing with the RN Dispatcher.

I've been seeing what I assume to be I150 headed up the Lincoln Secondary more often than not, as of late. He usually heads up between 1300 and 1500 EST or thereabouts when I see him. I just saw him yesterday around 14:00 EST.
