Just reported on fb that GRE 2104 has a cut of wheaties and is prepping to head east to Lowell now.

JAIL yesterday during the day ran north to Lansing to both CN and CSX. They dropped 17 cars at Ensel and then three at CN. I saw that they picked up more boxcars from CN but did not catch their return from Ensel to see what they grabbed there. They were south across CN shortly after noon.

How often does JAIL go to Jackson these days if at all?

I'm hearing that due to the coils to rsdc switching to csx from ns it's down to 2-3 days a week which is why you are seeing them come north into Lansing sometimes twice a week at night.

08:50 - JAIL NB at Aurelius Rd in Lansing with 1758 and three cars: A loaded flat car of steel (another car for Alro on Willow perhaps) and two coil cars, one CR and one CSX.

Over in east grand rapids right now, think I'm hearing GRE heading east out of town. 10:10am

Grand Elk North through Byron Center at 4:48pm. Wamx 4124, 2 locos and about 25ish cars.

GRE was switching King around 11:30. Most tracks are full plus 20 or so BNSF hoppers south of town. Did not see them head west. Ann Street yard still has more hoppers.

Grand elk south through Byron Center at 9:12pm. Didn't watch, but sounded like close to 100 cars.

Michigan Shore's Bottom Ash Business has concluded as of the 12/1/21

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 3:02pm. WAMX 4124, WAMX 4125, and 34 cars. Pretty even mix of boxcars, tank cars, and covered hoppers, with a single steel coil car on the rear.

Back south at 5:50pm. Wamx 4125, 4124, wamx 4017 and 2 covered hoppers.

I thought I heard them in Lowell this morning. I’m guessing they took more back west.

Z127 departing Flint SB

All but 2 of the King hoppers are unloaded and there are 2 tracks of hoppers south of Lowell. Might be what was brought Saturday and some of the empties.

NS grain train heading east up the Kalamazoo Branch. Passing the Elkhart depot at 08:40. 2 NS GE’s for power.

JAIL arrived at Ensel Yard at 10:19. #1758 solo + 6 boxcars
