Q327-30 @ 11:06 westward reported by the DD mp CG19.1 with 564 axles & 7,578 feet long. CSX engines #5298 + #586 & 138 cars. After their job briefing was performed earlier having 155 cars, Q327 had to lighten their train by 2,200 tons due to the #5298 having a dynamic brake & traction motor issues.

D706-30 at this time is doubling up their train in Grand Rapids with CSX engines #351 + #335.

12:26 CT: Westbound by Michigan City on the CSX, I think. There was just an eastbound off the NS at Porter, but he's still showing on the ATCS screen there indicating that he is not yet past the siding west of town here. When I passed by about 45 minutes ago, there was an approach at WE Michigan City leading me to believe whatever this is will be taking the siding with the eastbound, likely Q326, holding the main.

However, it is definitely possible that this is just that eastbound and the RN has moved the meet up to New Buffalo or Sawyer or Livingston for Q327.

13:14 Update: based on the fact that I did not get another train and nothing else showed up on ATCS, I am quite certain that it was just the eastbound (quite possibly Q326) and that makes sense as there was nothing else reported westbound.

Thanks! No street view available, but good aerial imagery to get an idea. Good open spaces to view either side of the tracks. I went to that aerial mode and zoomed in a lil before supplying the link.
