N800-01 @ 20:05 eastward reported by the DD mp CG44.2 with "no defects, no defects, end of transmission" message. He was diverging into Wells Siding mp CG43.3 with 2,200 feet of his train still passing over the DD mp CG44.2 site & had slowed below the minimum speed requirement for the HBD system. BNSF engine #5890 & 130 loaded coal cars & rear BNSF engine #6239(?)
I heard 19.1 give the same message today "No defects, repeat, no defects. Detector out". I've heard that CSX is doing away with train length and axle count info being given via the detectors. NS has similar ones on the Chicago Line.

A couple of years ago, the DD126.3 on the Plymouth sub was changed having a different "voice" and gives only the axle count & what the outdoor temperature is. It used to sound like the ones we hear on the Grand Rapids sub & gave the same info. The DD104.3 on the Plymouth sub still gives the same info & same voice as what we hear on the Grand Rapids sub.
You can select what info you wish for your HBD system to transmit via a laptop connection and selecting options such as: train speed, train direction, track number (in multi-track areas), outdoor ambient temperature, wind speed, axle count, train length.

Sitting at the west end of Wyoming currently. Amtrak is out of the picture here. 327 is currently building their train. 3194 will be your leader and it appears we will have a mid train DPU today.

3194, 5284 and 6085 up front***

Q327-02 @ 07:34 Grand Rapids job briefing with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engine #3194 “Law Enforcement” unit + #5284 + #6085 + dpu CSX #3205 & 88 cars (36 loaded + 52 empty).

The engineer didn't give the position (line number) for the CSX #3205 (they usually state this). MQT1223, can you confirm if it's a mid or rear dpu?

D801-02 had tied down the CSX #3440 + #3167 into the east end of Grand Jct siding mp CG54 & there is also a loaded coal train, the N801-30, that had tied down there, too, yesterday. Apparently, a different crew will eventually be moving that train out of there.

At 08:35, the Dispatcher had told the MoW crew in Holland they could be expecting Q326 at approx 11:00am & will be routing Q326 thru the Pass Track at Holland & back onto the Main Track at Waverly.

It's A Mid DPU

At the time I could not make out the number. Plus the DPU did not have my attention at the time lol
