HRR 6:50 train clear Crossroads running 10 min late.

The new diesel is on the point, #152 suffered a minor mechanical failure after the second run but should be good to go tomorrow or Sunday.

As of 0810 GDLK is heading east down Hastings industrial to work L&W. WAMX 4190 ( WSOR paint) is power. 11-29-2021

Detroit Connecting RR running to CN Interchange with a few Scrap Gons and 1 Tank.

Prior: JAIL came NB to Lansing with one NOKL flat car of steel for Alro in Lansing on Willow. NOKL 725268
10:40 - JAIL working at Padnos as of 10:40
11:14 - JAIL back across MLK after working Padnos. They have several cars to pickup at Ensel. They picked up loaded gons from Padnos and delivered them to CN. The coils today were a wide variety of various Conrail, CSX, one CIGX and then three box cars from CN. 17 total cars, (14/3)
11:49 - Departed ensel SB on csx trackage
12:10 - crossed CN at CP Cedar

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 12:54pm. WAMX 4124, WAMX 3807, and 22 cars. Couple of tank cars, about 15 covered hoppers and the rest boxcars.

Back south at 3:28pm with WAMX 4189, WAMX 3807, WAMX 4124, and 25ish cars.

GDLK 4124/3807/4225 NBD across East Michigan Ave in downtown Kalamazoo with 25ish cars at 20:32

GRE yard had ~40 cars west of Alpine this afternoon, including 3 loaded center beams and the remainder primarily BNSF hoppers. 2104 was moving them around, after returning light from the east around noon. Around 6:00pm, looked like most of them were still west of Alpine.

Heard them in Plainwell a few minutes ago as I was walking the dogs. It sounded like they were doing the Otsego run tonight on the south bound trip.

There’s still no run-around south of Gibson in Kalamazoo, right? So the southbound train from GR has to reverse into Botsford….errr…Gearhart Yard?

Among those BNSF cars should be several cascade green examples in various states of paint retention, including at least one with the older large “billboard” BURLINGTON NORTHERN lettering that looked pretty good on the Bangor railcam.

I saw them back south bound across Michigan Ave but from a distance. Then a few minutes later they went north bound with different cars. Idk what the yard name is and don’t know much about Kalamazoo train wise and which tracks are for who what etc

GP30M4216 knows the yard names, just playin' a bit as it was Botsford Yard in NS days, now called Gearhart.
Jim - when you heard in Plainwell, they must have been on the northbound journey at that point. Probably ran by you in later afternoon, went to kzoo, switched, and came back north. That's kind of odd for them to do, but perhaps making up for not running on Monday.
