For fans of the Cascade Green, BN hopper 471767 is at Vanden Bosch Feed in Zeeland, ready for pickup. I’m assuming the Zeeland switching work reverted back to Y121 much as it used to. Just a little graffiti on this one!

P371 arrived at Chicago Union Station at 8:52 CDT, 16 minutes ahead of the advertised.

Moments prior, the City of New Orleans arrived a full 35 minutes early. Just thought I’d note that Amtrak isn’t *always* late. Just usually lol.

D705-01 left 394+5246 behind in Detroit today and brought back 552+5103 with around 60 cars. Perhaps if the DPU was activated and working when this set left Peaker on Tuesday we'll get to see one or the other in the middle or end if they stay on this job as long as 394+5246 did.

Was that the reason for them going to Peaker, to get PTC equipment installed? Here's the list I was given not long ago for which CSX engines that are PTC equipped:

700-999
3000–3500
7000 - 7299
8900–8909

Note: No SD70MACS have DPU capability & that also includes any re-built units.

Looking like 500-599 & the 5100 series will have DPU

Dispatcher was calling him around 15:00 asking where he was & D705 replied "detector". I'm assuming that would be the DD at mp CH104.3 which I didn't hear reporting (typical lately for that to happen). I would have clearly heard the DD at mp CH126.3

D700-01 @ 15:10:41 westward Bangor's Center St crossing mp CG60.35 with CSX engine #4016 & 9 cars. When he had gone westward with Coil cars I had assumed he would be working at Sawyer, too. But I now recall during his markup with the RN to head westward he was to work at Hartford & make his turn around at Kirk.
