CSX Location Updates - Oct 2021

D705-01 left 394+5246 behind in Detroit today and brought back 552+5103 with around 60 cars. Perhaps if the DPU was activated and working when this set left Peaker on Tuesday we'll get to see one or the other in the middle or end if they stay on this job as long as 394+5246 did.

Do you know where 705 is now ?

Dispatcher was calling him around 15:00 asking where he was & D705 replied "detector". I'm assuming that would be the DD at mp CH104.3 which I didn't hear reporting (typical lately for that to happen). I would have clearly heard the DD at mp CH126.3

Q326-01 @ 15:52:41 eastward Bangor's Division St crossing mp CG60.93 with CSX engines #3278 + #5217 & 87 cars. He had 5 inter-modal cars loaded with single stacks of ship containers.

This is getting to be interesting, yesterday's Q326-30 also had 5 Inter-modal cars & they each had a double stack of ship containers. There was speculation this may have been a routing error. Some new business in Grand Rapids or near there is now receiving ship containers?

Q326-01 @ 16:25 was called by the RN Dispatcher to cancel his Waverly set off & high ball to Grand Rapids.

Many other contractors beside Peaker installing DPU on the 500s & 5100s so the project should be moving along quite well. 12 units so far have gone to Peaker.

Cars set off at 59th street for bad order. Repaired at Barr. Quickest way to get em to detroit is to run em 326>706.

Q327-02 at this time is getting their train together with CSX engines #5217 + #3278.

D706-01 @ 07:50 made his train mark up with the RN Dispatcher, a lot of info was broken up, but did hear he has CSX engines #47 + #5340 today. He's getting his train together & has the double stack cars to go to Rougemere, those were brought into Grand Rapids on Q326-30. I didn't hear if he is also taking the the 5 single stack inter-modals that Q326-01 had brought into Grand Rapids yesterday.

D706-01 @ 10:28 eastward reported by the DD mp CH126.3 with 476 axles. CSX engines #47 + #5340 & 118 cars. Though the axle math is for 116 cars, a manual count on the Bangor cam the other day found with the 5 Double Stack cars having a shared truck, this amounted to being 2 more cars than what the axle math works out to be. He has work for Lansing & the double stack cars are to go to Rougemere.

N800-01 @ 13:40:30 eastward Bangor’s Charles St crossing mp CG60.78 with BNSF engines #91197 + #6159 (both on head end) & 127 loaded coal cars. He is going to hold the main at Wells mp CG41.4 to get his pushers added that D801-02 is bringing.

D801-02 @ 13:40 eastward Holland Depot mp CG25.3 with CSXT engines #3440 + #3167 + BNSF engines #6390 + #6014 &130 loaded coal car(?). He’ll tie down the empty coal train inside Wells mp CG41.4
