Last night's Q326-31 @ 23:28 eastward was reported by the DD mp CG19.1 with 464 axles & 6,775 ft. CSXT engines #482 + #5434 & UP engines #8781 + #6817 & 110 cars. His set off work for Waverly/Holland was cancelled.

N800-31 @ 03:01:51 eastward Bangor's Monroe Street Crossing mp CG60.72 with BNSF engines #5894 + #6423 & 130 loaded coal cars. He went into the west end of Wells Siding mp CG43.3 to tie down.

D706-01 @ 05:43 eastward was reported by the DD mp CH104.3 with 176 axles & 2,723 ft. CSXT engines #286 + #131 & 41 cars (22 loaded + 19 empties). He had set off 21 cars in Lansing & released his EC1 to head eastward @ 06:56 with 20 cars (8 loaded + 12 empties).

Apparently the UP power from Q326 last night will eventually go to West Olive to take a set of empties west. This will be the second time this has happened. I’m told the UP power takes the train to a different mine somewhere in the Powder River basin (on the UP) and that Consumers really likes the coal that they get from it.

Now that August is here, the power on 705-706 remains the same. Today is the 16th day in a row for 4287+8619 to be on one set, and the 14th day in a row for the 286+131 on the other set, when, they can find a crew to run the train. As SD80mac says, perfect utilization for power. This mornings D70501 train, with its 77 car train out of Detroit had 594 leading the 4287+8619 set, another unit for Peaker, which may get set out in Lansing. By Howell at 11:15.

I wonder if they are still having PTC problems with 8619, because they seem to be turning that set every time now in GR and Detroit.

CSX 482 & 5434 are on the west end of Wyoming Yard putting together Q327-01. They have doubled and will soon be doing air test. 16:11 Q327-01 has moved to the signals @ Ivanrest. Just passed thru Grandville at 16:25. Must be meeting Q326 in Hudsonville.

D705-01 @ 15:36 westward called out a Medium Clear signal at Seymour mp CH148.1 with CSXT engines #594 + #4287 + #8619(?) & 53 cars.

Q327 engine 482 west clear zeeland 16:55. Holland setoff up front, 20-some cars at least. Tanks, covered hoppers, coils.
