Regarding the FRA train in Ensel, those crews get three weeks on, one week off so they are on vacation. In that one week off timespan, the equipment is recalibrated. That’s why it’s split apart in Ensel.

On a side note, what held up Amtrak so badly last night?

Not sure if it was weather related in the Chicago area, had heard on the scanner Hi-Railers on the Barr sub making reports for flash floods.

The Pere Marquette left Chicago on time and was over an hour late at St. Joe. The Capitol Limited also left Chicago and was 50 minutes late at South Bend. So whatever it was, it delayed multiple trains.

Hearing P371 with IDTX 4630 calling clear at both ends of Michigan City and CG 130 just now, great range on the super scanner this morning!

My ATCS shows red blocks just west of West Elmdale as of 12:57.
