D706-14 had six units this morning in Howell at 07:15 with 79 cars. 286+131+8502cp,8789cp+2652+4006. Probably taking the CP units to Detroit to turn them so they can be facing forward when the potash train at Webberville is ready to go empty.

19:37 CT: Amtrak P370 is currently rolling through Michigan City, roughly on time.

Fun seeing 354, 370 and 30 form a parade out of Union Station again, just like old times, pre-pandemic.

Crossed CH84.43 in East Lansing. Moving somewhat slowly. Not sure what aspects he had/has.

There was a report of possible debris on or near the track somewhere east of Lansing due to a storm & D706 was advised to report anything he may see. Also, had heard at 08:02, D706 was given permission to proceed by the Stop signal at the east end of Trowbridge after he had came to a complete stop there 1st.

Note: the 06:21 DD report was for mp CH104.3 (I went back & edited the original post).

Gotcha. I'd originally typed that it may have a stop signal EE Trowbridge hearing on radio but as I left to go that way and saw it crossing CH83.03, retracted it. Didn't catch the debris part.

D706-25 also was creeping through Howell at 09:15 with 39 cars. 8619 was shut down. Thought perhaps they were pulling into the siding here to meet D705, but that was nearly 45 minutes ago now.

At 10:06 it had sounded like D705 was having some kind of issues & needed to call the Mechanical Dept at or near Plymouth? Call was pretty broken up.

Ok, that was incorrect, I found in the archives that radio call from the RN Dispatcher was for a different train (Q200-25), scanners are pulling calls in from all over the place.
