6170 and 6105 plus a short train this morning. 6170 has been on the job for quite a while, has an RS3L I believe.

We have an NS 29V-08 going by Rodney at 140pm. UP 7965 is the lone power. 84 cars, 4451 T and 8052’ of train.

NS 9848 sitting at Beaubien waiting for Amtrak 355 with empty autoracks for Conrail.

6170 is former N&W and the RS3L is a conrail horn, not the correct horn for the engine but I’ll take a Leslie any day of week

Yes it’s a former N&W unit with a Conrail horn. 6105 is also former N&W but has a southern horn. The horns on engines get swapped out and nobody cares what gets put on as long as it works.

Edited to reflect 6170 having the Conrail style horn. Turns out the darn thing never leads when I see it.
