Trains have been losing a few minutes between Jackson and Albion - is there rail or tie replacement taking place resulting in temporary speed restrictions? Any idea when the work will be completed?
Thanks
Andy

08:15 CT: Amtrak 350 east departing Michigan City. Has a view liner baggage on the rear.
for axle count?
I am guessing that this is the reason as this train and its return number 355 are down to three coaches and one snack car since they went up to three trains a day, one short required for the grade crossing activations as I recall.

CN wants 24 axles for the Wolverines and 30 for the Blue Water.

Amtrak 355 is an hour and 15 minutes late out of Pontiac this evening. It looked like it had two locomotives on the front end as it passed my house.

Tie replacement proceeding south on Main 1 of CN's Holly Sub out of Pontiac this week. They are at MP 22.5 out back right now. It looks like Amtrak 350 is running on Main 2 during this and is not stopping at Royal Oak or Troy stations as the platforms are on the wrong side (?). It looks like all the other Amtrak trains on the Holly are still running on Main 1, probably because they are before or after the scheduled work time of the tie crews. It looks like they will be up to Opdyke today the way they are going. Rain isn't stopping them.

What happened to #354 after it left Ann Arbor on Friday night - lost 4 hrs to Dearborn?
Because of 354's late arrival #351 on Sat. left Pontiac 1'25" LT. I wonder if 351 had an ITCS failure because the train lost an additional 1.5 hr to Porter.

I noticed that this morning, the late 351. Don't they keep two trainsets overnight now at Pontiac? Why wouldn't they just use the one from 352 and have 351 leave on time? Then use the 351 set on 353? What dost thou sayest Buster Manning?

Buster sayeth this: 354 was late account of another trespasser strike east of the AA station (for a town full of "smart" people, they sure do get hit alot in this area)....the way the jobs are set up( HOS plays a big factor), the crew of 354 wyes all three units after arrival into PNT and then sets up the next day's train sets....sooooo, if 354 is late, it's a good possibility that 351 will depart late too. No idea about why 351 lost more time that day---didn't hear about that
