Michigan Shore MMRR #2019, MMRR #2170 with 7 hoppers, 10 gondolas, 1 tank car south at Airline Rd & Summit Ave, Muskegon Hts. 9:05 AM

-I like how MMRR #2019 coincidently ended up with a new P5 horn when the year 2019 started. Before it had it's original Raised Letter K5LA in early January 2019. From what I hear, MMRR #2019 has a nice horn! I was surprised to hear it when I saw it in late April of 2019. Did they change the horn later that day it was a K5LA?

Yes, 6 cars on the ground in “downtown” Brohman along M-37. 1 tank totally rolled on its side and the rest covered hoppers in the back half of a very long southbound train. Power is 3406, 2044 and another SD40-2, and the entire front of the train down at 5 Mile Road. The west rail is totally bent around over the east almost to the highway. Are the boxcars that come from Manistee typically loaded, or empty, or some of both? As usual, they are near the back of the consist.

I took photos but can’t resize them easily to post on my phone.

I know about box car loads from PCA. Do they still get about 12 a day?

Are there any other box car customers in Manistee?

Late report: as of late Sunday, MQT had dispatched what I assume was light power down to Brohman to pull back the last dozen + cars that had not derailed to give forthcoming wrecker crews more space to work. They were heading south from Baldwin around 16:00. This left 8 cars as the derailment site. No equipment yet staged at 19:00.
