Grand elk south through byron center at 5:59pm. Wamx 4124, 4125 and 23 cars. Horn sound indeed carrying decent today.

The Grand Elk just went by the Elkhart VR cam at 9:48am on its way to the Elkhart yard with WAMX 4189 and WAMX 4209 leading 22 cars. A mix of box cars, covered hoppers, tank cars and two empty NS hoppers.

Back towards Kalamazoo with the same power at 11:35am with 37 cars in tow. A mix of box cars, covered hoppers, tank cars and two loaded center beams.

Nice, I've biked that bridge quite a number of times.
South through Byron Center at 2:59pm, 4124, 4125, and indeed 27 cars.

MSR Z627-24 @ 3:31 pm North Broadway street crossing in Muskegon, MI with MMRR #2170 + #2019 & 6 cars. (6 loads? + 0 empties?) - Consisted of 3 2 bay covered hoppers and 3 tankers.

3 covered hoppers for Barry, leave emptied.
3 tankers for Webb Chemical, leave emptied.

Truck ran in front of it, with a trailer. smart move…

I wasn't expecting the GDLK to run south 10 minutes after I arrived at the bridge. All I heard was the vehicles rushing on the freeway next to me then a growing rumble of train wheels beneath me and knew it was GDLK rolling south. I didn't hear their horn at 54th St from where I was. It was great to get an overview of the train from above.

Grand Elk back towards Kalamazoo from Elkhart at 12:46pm with WAMX 4209 and WAMX 4189 leading 38 cars. A mix of box cars, covered hoppers and a loaded bulkhead car. The first 18 cars were covered hoppers, then 10 box cars in a row and finally the last 10 were a mix of the box cars and covered hoppers with the loaded bulkhead second to last.

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 3:13pm. WAMX 4125, 4124, and 13 cars. First two were old conrail and a GDLK stenciled short hopper.
